**About the role (remote open positions 5)**

As a **Senior Software Engineer** , you will make an impact by designing, developing, and modernizing enterprise healthcare payer applications that support critical business functions including claims processing, eligibility, benefits administration, and provider services. You will leverage expertise in .NET, Java, Spring Boot, Node.js, React, Angular, Microservices, and Azure Cloud technologies to deliver scalable, secure, and high-performing solutions. You collaborate with product, business, and engineering stakeholders to advance digital transformation initiatives for our client.

**In this role, you will**

+ Design and develop enterprise applications using .NET, Java, and Spring Boot technologies to support healthcare payer operations.

+ Build and maintain microservices-based architectures that enable scalable, secure, and reusable business services.

+ Develop modern user interfaces using React and Angular to improve operational efficiency and user experience.

+ Implement and integrate cloud-native solutions using Microsoft Azure services.

+ Create and support REST APIs and integration services using Node.js and microservices patterns.

+ Perform code reviews, testing, troubleshooting, and performance optimization across full-stack applications.

+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to convert complex healthcare payer requirements into technical solutions.

+ Ensure compliance with healthcare security, privacy, and regulatory requirements through secure development practices.

**What you need to have to be considered**

+ Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.

+ 7+ years of software development experience building enterprise-scale applications.

+ Strong proficiency in .NET Framework, C#, Java, and Spring Boot.

+ Experience designing and implementing microservices architectures.

+ Hands-on expertise with Node.js and RESTful API development.

+ Experience developing front-end applications using React and Angular.

+ Knowledge of Microsoft Azure cloud services, deployment, monitoring, and scalability practices.

+ Understanding of healthcare payer operations including eligibility, benefits, claims adjudication, and provider management.

+ Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.

**These will help you stand out**

+ Experience supporting large-scale healthcare payer transformation initiatives.

+ Expertise in cloud-native architecture, containerization, and DevOps practices on Azure.

+ Experience working in Agile delivery environments and cross-functional product teams.

+ Knowledge of healthcare compliance, privacy, and security standards.

+ Proven ability to drive application modernization and continuous improvement initiatives.

**Salary and Other Compensation**

The annual salary for this position is between **$86,000** **to $99,000** depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
