About the role
Senior Saviynt Engineer (Contract-to-Hire)
Employment Type: Contract-to-Hire ([6] month contract with intent to convert to full-time)
Location: Remote
Start Date: ASAP
About the Role
Our client is seeking a senior, hands-on Saviynt engineer to step into an active Saviynt Enterprise Identity Cloud (EIC) implementation. This person will assess the current state, remediate existing work, and drive the program to completion.
This is a builder role. The client needs someone who will configure, troubleshoot, and deliver directly, not just provide architectural guidance. Immediate priorities are stabilizing access certifications and accelerating the onboarding of the client’s SaaS application portfolio.
For the right candidate, this role converts to a full-time position as a core owner of the client’s identity governance program.
What You’ll Do
First 90 days
Review the existing Saviynt implementation, identify gaps and issues, and build a remediation plan
Stabilize and run access certification campaigns, including quarterly SOX user access reviews
Onboard and integrate SaaS applications into Saviynt, working toward a portfolio of 30 to 40 apps
Ongoing
Configure and maintain Saviynt connectors for SaaS applications, including Jira
Integrate Saviynt with Azure / Entra ID and manage RBAC models
Build and refine identity governance workflows, entitlements, roles, and approval processes
Manage identity lifecycles for both employees and non-employees/contractors
Partner with IT, Security, Compliance, and application owners to gather requirements and drive adoption
Document configurations, processes, and runbooks to keep the program sustainable
Support internal and external audits with certification evidence and reporting
What You Bring
Required
5+ years in Identity and Access Management, with at least 3 years of hands-on Saviynt EIC implementation and configuration
Experience taking over and remediating an existing Saviynt implementation, not just greenfield deployments
Strong background designing and running access certifications, including SOX quarterly reviews
Proven track record onboarding a large number of SaaS applications into Saviynt
Hands-on experience with Saviynt SaaS connectors, including Jira
Strong Azure / Entra ID integration and RBAC experience
Experience configuring workflows, entitlements, roles, and approvals in Saviynt
Experience managing employee and non-employee/contractor identity lifecycles
Comfortable owning problems end to end and working independently in a fast-moving environment
Nice to Have
Saviynt certifications (e.g., Saviynt Certified IGA Professional)
Experience with HRIS integrations (e.g., Workday) as an authoritative identity source
Familiarity with REST APIs, JSON, and scripting for custom connector work
Experience in environments with SOX compliance requirements
