About the role
AlphaGov delivers public-sector consulting for cities, counties, school systems, special districts, utilities, and related agencies. Our work spans classification and compensation, organizational and operational studies, research and program evaluation, economic and workforce analysis, surveys and community research, and applied data and infrastructure research.
We engage experienced practitioners as project-based collaborators. Engagements are remote-first with occasional client travel. When you authorize it, AlphaGov may name you as an expert collaborator or key personnel on proposals that match your expertise. We build ready teams for live pursuits — not speculative staffing banks.
AlphaGov is engaging an EV Cost and Financial Analyst for current public-sector fleet and charging studies. You will build lifecycle cost and total cost of ownership models that help agencies compare gasoline, diesel, and electric options and set realistic capital and operating budgets.
We confirm scope, schedule, and fee with you before any engagement begins.
What you'll do
Build total cost of ownership and lifecycle cost models for light-, medium-, and heavy-duty electrification
Compare vehicle, charger, electrical upgrade, energy, maintenance, and residual-value scenarios
Incorporate utility rates, demand charges, incentives, and tax credits into agency-ready analyses
Translate model results into clear tables, charts, and decision briefs for finance and operations leaders
Stress-test assumptions (mileage, energy price, incentive timing) and document sensitivity ranges
Support proposal cost narratives and study appendices when naming is authorized
Contribute qualifications and past-performance narrative to AlphaGov proposals when you authorize naming
Apply to be considered.
