Job Description

Position Overview

The Sustainability Analyst supports Amcor Rigid Packaging North America's sustainability strategy through data management, reporting, compliance, and stakeholder engagement. This role is responsible for administering key sustainability platforms, driving data quality and integrity across global manufacturing sites, leading life cycle assessment (LCA) work, managing regulatory and compliance programs, and supporting both internal and external reporting obligations. The ideal candidate brings strong analytical skills, cross-functional communication ability, and a proactive approach to managing complex, multi-stakeholder programs in a fast-paced environment.

Essential Responsibilities & Duties

Administer and maintain Altruistiq (AQ), Amcor’s primary sustainability data platform: user management, configuration, training new users, and recurring office hours for site troubleshooting.

Conduct quarterly data validation cycles, issue completion reports and reminders to drive on-time submissions, and review site methodology templates annually.

Support Scope 3 GHG reporting, coordinate sustainability targets, and manage reporting to Amcor Limited per the GHG Protocol.

Build and refine dashboards and reporting tools for QSR, PCR, recyclability, and transportation, and automate data pulls to improve efficiency, accuracy, and access.

Lead integration of legacy Berry and Amcor site data into unified global reporting, and drive continuous improvement in data collection, assurance, and insights.

Collect and maintain packaging, component, SKU, customer, and product-line data, running quality checks to resolve outliers, inconsistencies, and duplicates.

Document analysis methodology and assumptions for transparency, reproducibility, and audit readiness.

Conduct Life Cycle Assessments to substantiate environmental claims, present findings at conferences, expos, and customer meetings, and support discussions on LCA methodology, carbon reduction roadmaps, and Amcor’s sustainability commitments.

Support customers’ EPR obligations and translate product specifications into structured data for regulatory compliance.

Administer the Sedex program across all Amcor Rigid Packaging sites, including customer linking and audit prep with site HR teams.

Support internal and external year-end audits through documentation, logistics, and data accuracy.

Assist with recyclability and QSR reporting and contribute to corporate disclosures, sustainability partnerships, and the Annual Sustainability Report.
