React Native Developer - CTV

About the role

Job Description

Insight Global is looking for a React Native Developer for one of their large media and entertainment clients. This is a contract to hire, remote opportunity (within 2 hours of certain cities). As a key React Native Developer you will be responsible for new feature development, enhancements, bug fixes, and code deployment for this clients main CTV application. You will be responsible for architecting and implementing scalable, high-performance React Native solutions for TV platforms (tvOS, Android TV, Fire TV/VegaOS), focusing on performance optimization, usability, and maintainability. There will be some new feature development such as Secondary streams (started), push notification service, survey feature, personalization, universal search support, customize the player view, live scrubbing etc.

Skills and Requirements

3+ years of professional experience developing CTV, Smart TV, or OTT applications tvOS, FireTV/VegaOS or AndroidTV (though mobile only could work) Recent experience developing with React Native, preferably for tvOS, FireTV/VegaOS or AndroidTV (though mobile only could work) Expertise in React principles such as virtual DOM, component lifecycle, component state, hooks, and props Proficiency in TypeScript for application development Proficiency in React Native tools and technologies such as Visual Studio Code, Jest, ESLint, and others Experience using AI tools (e.g., Cursor, Claude, ChatGPT) Experience with state management solutions (e.g., Zustand, Redux, React Context)
