About the role
**Job Title:** Security Architect
**Location:** Remote
**Pay Range: 55-60**
**What's the Job?**
+ Design and guide application security architecture to support secure identity, access, and API-driven workflows across enterprise environments.
+ Partner with engineering teams to implement and operationalize security controls, ensuring evidence is captured and adoption is sustainable.
+ Strengthen API gateway and traffic control capabilities through secure configuration, request validation, and rate limiting to reduce abuse and exposure.
+ Mitigate threats by applying knowledge of OWASP Top 10 API vulnerabilities, injection attack patterns, and credential stuffing defenses.
+ Improve runtime protection by tuning Web Application Firewalls (WAF) and behavioral anomaly detection tools in collaboration with technical teams.
**What's Needed?**
+ Hands-on Identity and Access Management (IAM) experience with OAuth2/OIDC, JSON Web Tokens (JWT), scopes, claims, and preventing overly broad token authorizations.
+ Ability to configure secure API gateways, including rate limiting and request validation, with a focus on protecting API endpoints.
+ Knowledge of threat mitigation for OWASP Top 10 API vulnerabilities, injection attacks, and credential stuffing.
+ Experience partnering with engineering teams to tune WAF and behavioral anomaly detection tools for improved detection and reduced false positives.
