Job Description

Insight Global is seeking an Instrumentation Engineer for a top controls and automation client. This candidate will join the team on a remote, approximately two-month contract to support two major projects and help clear a backlog of instrumentation engineering work. The engineer will review project specifications and P&IDs, select and specify flow, pressure, and temperature instrumentation and analyzers, prepare datasheets and vendor submittal packages, and ensure proposed equipment meets project requirements. The ideal candidate will have strong process instrumentation experience and be comfortable working independently while collaborating closely with Project Managers in a fast-paced project environment. Need someone who can work remotely and support two large projects they recently won. The work will primarily involve rack-and-stack instrument selection and creating submittal packages for flow, pressure, and temperature instrumentation and analyzers, particularly for wastewater applications involving chlorine and pH. This person will work closely with Project Managers to review requirements, select the appropriate instrumentation, and complete the necessary technical submittals.

Skills and Requirements

5+ years of experience as an Instrumentation Engineer Experience working with process instrumentation, specifically flow, pressure, and temperature instruments Experience with process analyzers, ideally for wastewater applications involving chlorine and pH Ability to review P&IDs and project specifications and select/specify the appropriate instrumentation Experience preparing instrument datasheets and vendor submittal packages
