Expert (Sr Consultant / Lead Analyst)

Seeking a highly experienced Epic Resolute PB Analyst to assess and optimize an existing Professional Billing environment that has accumulated years of program-specific customizations. This consultant will help transition the organization toward standardized billing workflows, evaluate current-state build, and provide expert guidance on foundational Epic PB best practices. Previous Epic experience and deep Professional Billing build expertise are highly desired.Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Epic Professional Billing (PB) / Resolute PB Analyst to support a major optimization and "refuel" initiative focused on bringing a highly customized Epic environment back to foundational PB workflows and best practices. This resource will evaluate existing Professional Billing build, identify unnecessary program-specific customizations, and help redesign workflows to align with a more standardized ambulatory clinic operating model.

The ideal candidate is a Sr -level Epic PB consultant with extensive build experience, strong operational understanding of charge capture and billing workflows, and the ability to partner with operational leaders to simplify and modernize existing Epic configurations. Previous Epic consulting experience and hands-on Resolute PB build expertise are highly preferred.

Responsibilities

+ Analyze and assess current Epic Professional Billing configuration and workflows.

+ Review historical customizations built around program-based billing structures and recommend standardized PB solutions.

+ Lead a "Back to Foundation" effort focused on reducing unnecessary build complexity and aligning workflows with current operational needs.

+ Evaluate charge capture, CPT code utilization, reason-for-visit workflows, and billing-related build.

+ Partner with operational, registration, and revenue cycle leaders to identify workflow gaps and enhancement opportunities.

+ Support redesign of registration and billing workflows to align with industry best practices.

+ Perform Epic Resolute PB build, configuration, testing, validation, and implementation activities.

+ Document current-state and future-state workflows and system design decisions.

+ Participate in integrated testing, user acceptance testing, and go-live support as needed.

+ Provide recommendations for workflow optimization, system standardization, and long-term maintenance strategies.

+ Collaborate with cross-functional Epic teams, including Revenue Cycle, Cadence, Prelude, and Ambulatory teams, when necessary.

Required Qualifications

+ Epic Resolute Professional Billing (PB) Certification required.

+ 5+ years of Epic Professional Billing experience.

+ Extensive hands-on experience with:

+ Resolute Professional Billing

+ Charge Capture

+ CPT Configuration and Maintenance

+ Billing Workflow Design

+ Professional Billing Build and Optimization

+ Revenue Cycle Operations

+ Experience performing workflow assessments and operational optimization initiatives.

+ Strong understanding of Epic build methodologies, testing, and implementation practices.

+ Ability to gather requirements and translate business needs into Epic solutions.

+ Experience leading design sessions and working directly with operational stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

+ Former Epic employee highly preferred.

+ Experience supporting Back-to-Basics, Refuel, Optimization, or Foundation projects.

+ Strong understanding of ambulatory clinic workflows.

+ Experience working in complex, highly customized Epic environments.

+ Knowledge of registration workflows and Revenue Cycle integrations.

+ Consulting experience within healthcare organizations undergoing operational transformation.

This is a Contract position based out of Jackson, Mississippi.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $85.00 - $90.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
